At least 26 insurgents were killed in counter-terrorism operations carried out by Afghan forces in different parts of the country in past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Monday.

The statement said 11 other insurgents were wounded in the operations.
“The operations were conducted in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan, Nish district of Kandahar and Lashkargah, the capital city of Helmand province,” the statement said.
“Also, during these operations, the forces seized two rocket launchers with seven rockets, one machine gun, one AK-47 rifle and 15 different types of IEDs,” the statement added.
