500 deaf-mute participate in Husseini services during Arbaen pilgrimage
Approximately 500 deaf and mute, from Babylon province, take part in a Husseini Services Unit, to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussein on the road to his holy Shrine in Karbala.
Approximately 500 deaf and mute, from Babylon province, take part in a Husseini Services Unit, to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussein on the road to his holy Shrine in Karbala.
Unit supervisor, Muhammad Abbas, stated that Ahbab al-Zahra, located at ‘Twarij Gate’ area, has been providing its services to the pilgrims for the past ten years.
Most of the Husseini servants, who are deaf and mute, stated that losing their senses could not stop them from providing their services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein.
Ahbab al-Zahra Services Unit, will continue providing their services until the departure of the last pilgrim from Karbala.
It is worth mentioning that 500 deaf and mute Husseini servants, are taking part at Ahbab al-Zahra Husseini Services Unit in addition to a number of those who know Sign language.
