Ministry of Transportation begins plan to transport Arbaeenpilgrims

Preparing for the massive Arbaeen pilgrimage, the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation is set to provide vehicles for pilgrims for free or low fees.

 

 

Preparing for the massive Arbaeen pilgrimage, the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation is set to provide vehicles for pilgrims for free or low fees.

The ministry will provide a number of buses to transport more than two thousand Kuwaiti pilgrims, from the bordering district of Safwan and back for free.

Laith al-Rubaie, ministry media department manager, stated, “The ministry’s plan also includes providing transportation to pilgrims from Iran and Pakistan as they approach the Iraqi city of Basrah.

Al-Rubaie added the the Ministry of Transportation will transport the Iranian pilgrims as well coming from the different cross points along the Iraqi-Irani borders.

As for the Iraqi pilgrims, the ministry media department manager remarked that special buses will provide transportation to and from Karbala’s checkpoints.
