Badrah district council announced, on Monday, that local services agencies started to rehabilitate multiple yards in the border area to accommodate more than two thousand large vehicles in preparation to transfer the pilgrims of Arbaeen.
The local council stated that the transfer process will be in three phases, while the central government demanded to secure sufficient funds to provide for the pilgrims’ requirements.
The Zurbatiyah border check point with Iran witnessed, last year, the entry of some three million Iranian pilgrims to perform the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with about 500 thousand pilgrims entering without visas as a result of the massive number.
