Four ‘militants’ involved in killing Shias, security officials arrested in Karachi
Karachi police’s Counter-Terrorism Department have arrested four militants trained in Afghanistan from the Korangi and Orangi areas of the metropolis.
Karachi police’s Counter-Terrorism Department have arrested four militants trained in Afghanistan from the Korangi and Orangi areas of the metropolis.
The suspected militants were involved in the killings of security personnel and members of the Shia community including other terror acts.
“The CTD team and personnel of an intelligence agency conducted targeted raids in Orangi and Korangi, during the raids four terrorists were detained,” said CTD-II SSP Junaid Ahmad Shaikh.
The police official said that the arrested individuals were ‘experts’ in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IED) and suicide vests.
