Millions of pilgrims attend ceremony to mourn martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced that millions of Shia pilgrims took part in a special ceremony to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

 

 

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced that millions of Shia pilgrims took part in a special ceremony to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

According to reports, this year’s Tewreej Run was held with massive participations of millions of devoted pilgrims.

 

During the run, pilgrims march from Tweerej district, just outside Karbala, to the holy shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him, and then to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
