Algerian activists severely criticized the Iraqi embassy for “facilitating religious visits to Iraq” through an electronic site and special office to grant visas for those “wishing to have religious visits to Iraq”.

The embassy later forced to pull the ad from its website, after a campaign led by activists on social networking sites, with the support received from political figures and endorsed by Algerian parties.
