Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to open 11 offices in Iraq to receive the increasing number of pilgrims for the upcoming Arabeen Pilgrimage.
The ministry said that the entry fee to Iraq is fixed, adding that offices will be opened soon along with the four consulates in Iran.
Arbaeen marks the end of a 40-day mourning period following Ashura.
Traditionally, the people of Iraq prepare themselves each year before Arbaeen, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, peace be upon him, the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, peace be upon him and his pure progeny.
