Two million white-clad Muslims from across the globe began the hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. The intending pilgrims have performed the main pillar of Hajj, Wuquf-e-Arafa today.
Having spent the evening at Mina, Hajjis are headed towards Mount Arafat where the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him and his progeny, gave his final sermon 14 centuries ago after leading his followers on the hajj.
Wuquf or (Stay) in Arafat is performed from noon to sunset on the 9th of Thul-Hajja.
