Holy Kadhimiya hosts first Holy Shrines Conference
The Holy Shrines Conference, organized by the Shia Endowment Office in Holy Kadhimiya Shrine, has emphasized the importance of these religious and spiritual places for millions of followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them; stressing the need to develop them and preserve the authenticity of their construction.
Shia Waves reporter in the holy city said: “The Holy Kadhimiya Shrine in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, hosted the Holy Shrines Conference, under the auspices of the Shia Endowment Office, under the slogan ‘The Holy Shrines: A Beacon for Belief and Signs of Architectural and Civilizational Creativity’.”
He continued: “The participants emphasized the need to preserve the sanctity of these purified places and to ensure their development in a manner that is compatible with their great sanctity.”
Our correspondent explained that “the conference witnessed the active participation of officials from the Shia Endowment Office, researchers, academics, religious scholars, as well as engineers and specialists in the field of Islamic architecture.”
He pointed out that “the conference witnessed the presentation of important papers on Islamic architecture, its types, the origin of its formation, and its most prominent architectural landmarks, as well as the great connection of these honorable places with the Islamic religion.”
It is worth noting that the holy shrines in Iraq have witnessed major development campaigns after the fall of the tyrant regime, which included various construction and service works aimed at accommodating visitors from inside and outside the country and providing them with the necessary services.
