Iraqi pilgrims continues to walk towards the Holy Shrine of Imam Redha


Despite the cold winter weather, and the rugged road to Iran, especially within its mountainous lands, a group of Iraqi pilgrims are continuing their march, which started from the city of Hilla, Iraq, towards the holy city of Mashhad to commemorate the special pilgrimage of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Redha, peace be upon him.
The Holy Shrine is located in the heart of the city of Mashhad, which is about 1,700 kilometers away from the city of Hilla. The pilgrims pass through the holy shrine of Lady Fatima al-Masouma as well.
Activists in the religious field circulated photos that were followed by Shia Waves documenting the march of Iraqi pilgrims towards the Imam Redha Holy Shrine, noting that “the pilgrims continued their march for the fifteenth consecutive day to commemorate the blessed pilgrimage.”
According to one of the narrations, the 18th of Jumada al-Ula coincides with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Redha, peace be upon them.
