The Child Care Department of Imam Hussein Shrine has launched a project to qualify 1000 children’s writers.
Mohammed al-Hisnawi, department director, said that this project is going to take a long time to achieve: from 5 to 7 years, for it will be divided into 10 stages; in each stage 100 writers will be trained.
He added that the project will imply holding workshops for the interested in writing for children in all the Iraqi cities, and the first workshop will be held in the city of Basrah, in addition to employing the writers’ works in theaters.
