 As the holy month of Muharram started, huge crowds of pilgrims including Arabs and foreigners are flocking towards the holy city of Karbala.

 

 

As the holy month of Muharram started, huge crowds of pilgrims including Arabs and foreigners are flocking towards the holy city of Karbala.

On Ashura and Arbaeen pilgrimages, the holy city of Karbala witnesses the influx of millions of pilgrims mostly from neighbouring countries through the bordering ports of Shalamja and Mehran and other ports.

It is worth mentioning that as a result of the security stability in the southern Iraqi cities, the Arab pilgrims are able to enter Iraq with their personal vehicles.
