Over 2,500 Volunteers and 1,000 Processions Serve Imam al-Askari’s Visitors in Samarra

The Al-Askari Holy Shrine announced the participation of more than 2,500 volunteers and over 1,000 mourning and service processions in providing services to visitors arriving in Samarra to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him).
The head of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine’s Supreme Committee for the Million-Visitor Pilgrimage said the participating processions continue to provide a wide range of services to visitors as part of the service and organizational preparations accompanying the pilgrimage, helping accommodate the large numbers arriving at the holy shrine.
He explained that the service and medical plan has received field support from 65 volunteer groups, including 40 male and 25 female groups, comprising more than 2,500 male and female volunteers deployed across various areas of the holy shrine.
The volunteers are contributing to logistical and medical support and helping organize the movement of visitors, while also supporting the service efforts throughout the pilgrimage days, helping ensure smooth movement and meet the needs of those arriving in Samarra.
Meanwhile, more than 1,000 mourning and service processions are participating in commemorating the occasion by holding mourning ceremonies and providing food, beverages, hospitality, and various other services to visitors.
Samarra is witnessing a large influx of visitors commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him), amid extensive service and organizational mobilization involving the departments of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine, volunteer groups, and service processions, reflecting the values of solidarity, selflessness, and cooperation in serving visitors to the two Askari Imams (peace be upon them).
