Imam Hussein, Al-Kadhimiya Shrines Draped in Black Ahead of Holy Prophet’s Martyrdom Anniversary

The holy shrines of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Karbala and the two Imams al-Kadhimayn (peace be upon them) in Baghdad’s Kadhimiya have been adorned with black flags and mourning banners ahead of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

The shrines’ administrations have begun preparations to welcome visitors commemorating the 28th of Safar, with mourning decorations covering the courtyards and surrounding areas in an atmosphere of grief and devotion.

Both holy sites have prepared special mourning programmes, including condolence gatherings, religious lectures, Quranic activities and cultural events focusing on the life, teachings and noble values of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), including justice, mercy and morality.

The shrine authorities have also arranged services for visitors and mourning groups arriving to participate in the commemorations.

Visitors expressed their sorrow on this occasion, describing the anniversary as an opportunity to renew their commitment to the Prophet’s teachings, follow his example and uphold the values of faith, compassion, unity and service to others.
