The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, stated that the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage continues to reinforce the meanings of dignity, steadfastness, and perseverance embodied by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), noting that tens of millions of pilgrims have traveled to the holy city of Karbala to observe this great religious occasion and draw lessons from its enduring message.

His Eminence explained that the honorable pilgrims, led by the steadfast and faithful people of Iraq, have continued the courageous and successful journey of the Arbaeen pilgrimage. They have headed toward the holy city of Karbala from various regions and countries, including men and women, young and elderly, adults and children, all united by their devotion to the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi added that the widespread participation in this pilgrimage is not limited to a particular group, but includes scholars, academics, employees, merchants, workers, and all segments of society, who have united under the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) while chanting the slogan: “Labbayk Ya Hussein” (Here I am, O Hussein).

His Eminence emphasized that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) represents a symbol of human unity, and that the eternal message of Karbala continues to bring together millions of people from different ethnicities, languages, and cultures around the values of truth, justice, and human dignity.
