The “Dawn of Ashura” Cultural Exhibition is continuing to provide intellectual and educational services to pilgrims traveling between Najaf and Karbala during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, as part of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein’s annual cultural program accompanying one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.

Located near the Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba Pilgrims’ City on the Najaf–Karbala road, the exhibition is organized by the Holy Shrine’s Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and is being held for the eleventh consecutive year. The initiative aims to promote religious knowledge and cultural awareness among millions of pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen commemoration.

The exhibition features 18 educational infographic displays covering topics including Islamic doctrine, Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic history, the Ziyarat Warith supplication, and contemporary intellectual and theological issues. Teams of trained volunteers and academics are on hand to explain the exhibits and answer visitors’ questions.

In addition to the displays, the exhibition distributes a range of printed and digital educational publications and hosts cultural competitions and dialogue sessions designed to deepen understanding of Islamic teachings and the principles of the movement of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

Services are provided in Arabic, English, Persian, and Urdu, enabling pilgrims from different countries to engage with the exhibition. Organizers said the event has attracted strong participation from young people, academics, and visitors, with hundreds taking part daily in its educational activities. Winners of the competitions receive gifts and educational publications.

The exhibition forms part of a broader series of cultural initiatives accompanying the Arbaeen pilgrimage, combining educational programs with the humanitarian and logistical services offered to millions of pilgrims traveling to Karbala.
