Groups of pilgrims from Ain al-Tamr district and surrounding areas in Karbala Governorate are continuing their journey on foot toward the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, traveling along the historic “Route of the Captives,” one of the main paths used by pilgrims arriving from western regions.

The road stretching between Ain al-Tamr and Al-Hurr district has witnessed increasing numbers of pilgrims walking for several days toward the center of Karbala, with Husseini service processions stationed along the route to provide food, water, accommodation, and medical assistance.

The procession includes visitors from Ain al-Tamr, areas bordering Anbar Governorate, and Al-Nukhaib region, who join millions of pilgrims arriving from across Iraq and around the world to commemorate Arbaeen.

Photographers and media teams continue documenting scenes from this spiritual journey, highlighting the atmosphere of devotion and solidarity among pilgrims. The flow of visitors continues from various routes, including northern, southern, and western axes as well as Baghdad, all heading toward the holy city of Karbala for the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
