Karbala Witnesses Massive Influx of Pilgrims for Arbaeen Commemoration of Imam Hussein
————————————-
The holy city of Karbala is witnessing an unprecedented arrival of pilgrims from across Iraq and around the world as millions gather to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, in an atmosphere marked by spiritual devotion and expressions of loyalty to the path of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
Reports from the scene show large crowds filling the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), with the courtyards, surrounding areas, and streets packed with visitors who have arrived on foot and by various means of transportation to renew their commitment to the values of truth and justice represented by Imam Hussein’s uprising.
Along the roads leading to Karbala, continuous streams of pilgrims are making their way toward the holy city, while Husseini service processions provide food, water, rest areas, medical assistance, and logistical support, reflecting the spirit of generosity and service associated with the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Security forces from various units have been deployed to protect pilgrims and ensure the smooth movement of processions. The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has also intensified efforts to facilitate the transportation of millions of visitors to and from Karbala.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s Border Ports Authority has confirmed the continued arrival of foreign pilgrims from different countries through land and air crossings, with enhanced organizational and security measures in place to ensure safe participation in the Arbaeen rituals.
