Holy Alawi Shrine Reveals Details of Al-Ghadeer Grand Complex Project in Najaf

The Alawi Holy Shrine has revealed details of the Al-Ghadeer Grand Complex project in the holy city of Najaf, describing it as one of the major urban and investment initiatives aimed at developing service, commercial and tourism infrastructure in the province.

According to the shrine’s Engineering and Technical Affairs Department, the project includes a range of integrated facilities, including commercial shops, hotel rooms, residential apartments for pilgrims, a mosque serving as a religious center, and a rest area equipped with various services to support residents of Najaf and millions of visitors throughout the year.

The project will also feature a modern parking facility with a capacity of approximately 925 vehicles, designed to help address parking shortages and improve traffic management, particularly during major pilgrimage seasons that attract large numbers of visitors to the city.

The Alawi Holy Shrine said the design of the Al-Ghadeer Grand Complex incorporates local architectural elements and Najaf’s traditional heritage style. The project is intended to create a comprehensive urban development combining commercial, residential, hospitality and religious functions, while enhancing services for pilgrims and contributing to the city’s infrastructure growth.
