————————————–
The Media Department of the Alawi Holy Shrine has prepared a comprehensive media plan to cover the ceremonies of Imam Hussein’s Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to follow the movement of pilgrims, highlight the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion, and showcase the services provided to millions of visitors during the pilgrimage season.
Jafar Al-Badri, Deputy Head of the Media Department, said the plan includes special programs broadcast through Alawi Holy Shrine television and radio channels over a period of 20 days. The coverage will follow pilgrims traveling from Basra toward the holy city of Karbala, passing through various provinces and rest stations along the pilgrimage routes, as well as the road connecting Baghdad and Karbala.
He added that the plan also includes coverage of the shrine’s activities through its news center and digital production unit, along with media messages displayed on screens across Najaf, allowing the coverage to reach audiences inside and outside Iraq.
Al-Badri explained that a dedicated media operations room has been established to coordinate with media institutions, production teams, and journalists, while providing the technical and logistical support needed for live broadcasts from the courtyard of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the courtyard of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The media plan includes 24-hour live broadcasting, field reports, special programs, breaking news coverage, and documentation of the preparations and services carried out by the Alawi Holy Shrine, reflecting the extensive efforts made to support the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
