Kufa Mosque Installs 6,000 Square Meters of Shade, Mist Fans Ahead of Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The administration of the Grand Mosque of Kufa has intensified its service preparations to welcome pilgrims attending the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), with a series of projects aimed at improving facilities and providing a more comfortable environment for visitors.
The mosque’s decoration division, part of the workshops and facilities department, has begun installing large shade structures around the mosque, covering an area of approximately 6,000 square meters. The project is part of the service plan to prepare areas used by pilgrims for passage and rest during the Arbaeen season.
Meanwhile, the central cooling division of the engineering department has started installing mist fans along Maytham al-Tammar Street and Hani ibn Urwa Street (may Allah be pleased with them) to reduce the impact of high temperatures and provide greater comfort for pilgrims walking toward the holy city of Karbala.
The measures are part of a comprehensive plan implemented by the Grand Mosque of Kufa to prepare for the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage, including service and organizational projects designed to support millions of visitors and ensure safe and comfortable conditions for performing the pilgrimage rituals.
