International Committee for Hussaini Processions Continues Arbaeen Preparations in Basra

The International Committee for Hussaini Bodies and Processions, affiliated with the Imam Shirazi World Foundation in Karbala, has continued its field visits in Basra Province as part of its preparations for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in 1448 AH.

The committee’s delegation visited the districts of Al-Faw, Al-Siba, and Abu Al-Khasib to strengthen communication with Hussaini processions and service providers supporting pilgrims on their journey to Karbala.

During the visit on the 28th of Muharram, the delegation met with pilgrims travelling on foot to the holy city of Karbala, as well as procession organizers and religious activists, to review preparations and the services being provided during the Arbaeen season.

In Al-Faw, the delegation held discussions with religious figures and officials of the Al-Abbas Al-Alqami procession (peace be upon him), reviewing their service programs and exploring ways to support efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the pilgrimage.

The tour also included Al-Siba, where committee members met with representatives of several Hussaini processions, including the People of Al-Siba procession, the Lady Ruqayya procession (peace be upon her), and the Imam Al-Kadhim procession (peace be upon him), praising their humanitarian and organizational efforts in serving pilgrims.

In Abu Al-Khasib, the delegation met with members of the Lovers of Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad procession from Nasiriyah, along with other procession officials and religious activists. Discussions focused on improving coordination and expanding cultural and service activities during Arbaeen.

Throughout the meetings, the delegation conveyed the greetings and guidance of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, emphasizing sincerity in serving pilgrims, preserving Hussaini rituals, and providing the highest levels of hospitality and care to visitors travelling to Karbala for Arbaeen.
