Hundreds of Pilgrims March to Imam Ali’s Shrine in Najaf to Commemorate Eid al-Ghadeer

In celebration of Eid Allah al-Akbar, Eid al-Ghadeer al-Aghar, hundreds of pilgrims and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) walked on foot toward the shrine of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) in Najaf al-Ashraf to commemorate the blessed occasion and renew their allegiance.

The march along Kufa Street brought together believers of all ages, who recited devotional chants and eulogies expressing the spiritual significance of Ghadir in the hearts of followers of the Ahl al-Bayt. Flags and banners bearing congratulatory messages for Eid al-Ghadeer were carried throughout the procession, contributing to an atmosphere of joy and devotion.

Participants emphasized that the annual march reflects a deep spiritual connection to the event of Ghadir and affirms their commitment to Wilayah, emulating Imam Ali’s life and values rooted in justice, mercy, and service to humanity.

During Eid al-Ghadeer, Najaf witnesses a large influx of visitors from across Iraq and abroad, with the Alawi Holy Shrine and local authorities implementing special service and organizational arrangements to welcome pilgrims and ensure the celebrations are conducted in a spiritually uplifting and orderly environment.
