Al-Abbas Shrine to Fund Restoration of Shrine of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Kadhim in Dezful

The Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas Shrine, Mr. Isa Al-Kharasan, announced that the holy shrine would cover the costs of restoring the golden decoration of the shrine of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon them) in Dezful, Khuzestan Province, Iran. This decision follows the damage inflicted upon the shrine due to recent incidents involving arson and vandalism.

The announcement was made during an official ceremony at the shrine, which was attended by religious, social figures, and representatives from the Al-Abbas Shrine’s administrative team, as part of an outreach program visiting several Iranian cities. Mr. Al-Kharasan emphasized that, with God’s will, the sacred shrine will once again become a place of tranquility and spiritual solace for the faithful, invoking the blessings of the Holy Imam Ali’s (peace be upon him) sanctuary.

Haidar Rahim, head of the Media Department at the shrine, highlighted that the Al-Abbas Shrine’s initiative includes re-gilding the shrine’s canopy and transporting it to the shrine’s specialized gilding workshop, which has previously completed significant projects, including the grand golden iwan and the crown of the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
