Millions Mark Third Laylat al-Qadr at Holy Shrines Across Iraq
——————————
Large crowds of worshippers gathered at major Shiite holy sites across Iraq on the 23rd night of Ramadan, widely regarded as the most significant night of Laylat al-Qadr, holding religious ceremonies and prayers until dawn.

Pilgrims assembled in the cities of Karbala, Najaf, Kadhimayn, and Samarra, where the shrines of Imams became centers of overnight worship, recitation, vigil and mourning rituals.

In Karbala, thousands gathered at the Imam Husayn Shrine (peace be upon him) and Al‑Abbas Shrine (peace be upon him). Worshippers arrived before sunset, breaking their fast and performing evening prayers before collectively reciting Dua Jawshan Kabir and visiting the shrine of Imam Husayn. Groups of pilgrims also prayed in the area between the two shrines, raising their hands in supplication.

In Najaf, large crowds filled the courtyard of the Imam Ali Shrine (peace be upon him), where participants performed the traditional Laylat al-Qadr rituals, including placing the Qur’an on their heads while reciting Dua and invocations.

Similar scenes were reported at the Al‑Kadhimiya Shrine in Kadhimayn and the Al‑Askari Shrine in Samarra, where worshippers gathered throughout the night to pray, recite supplications, and commemorate the Night of Decree.
