First Phase of Construction Completed for Courtyard of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him)

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced the completion of the first phase of the project to construct the sacred courtyard of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

According to the shrine authority, this initial phase included the construction of a protective perimeter wall, site preparation, insulation works, and preliminary leveling of the land.

Engineer Hussein Redha Mahdi, head of the Imam Hussein Shrine’s Projects Department, stated that the project covers an area of approximately 100,000 square meters and forms part of the broader expansion of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

He emphasized that the project will play a significant role in accommodating larger numbers of pilgrims and easing congestion during major religious occasions.
