Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Explains the “Mushaf of Lady Fatimah”

In his daily scholarly session on Monday, 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi addressed questions from attendees on various jurisprudential matters.

Regarding the Mushaf of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her), he explained that it comprises the material Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) presented to Lady Fatimah, which Imam Ali (peace be upon him) would write down. This collection of writings is referred to as the Mushaf of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

On the matter of its authenticity and use, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi noted that the original Mushaf is not presently available. However, reports and narrations attributed to it, if transmitted from the Infallible Imams with a reliable chain of narration, can be considered credible and cited similarly to other hadiths.

This clarification highlights both the historical significance of the Mushaf and its role within Shia scholarly tradition, while emphasizing the importance of verified chains of transmission for referencing its contents.
