Venezuelan Ambassador to Iraq Visits Holy Shrines, Prays for Peace Against U.S. Threats

Arturo Aníbal, the Ambassador of Venezuela to Iraq, visited the Holy Shrine of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) during a trip to the sacred provinces of Karbala and Najaf.

The Venezuelan Ambassador stated that the purpose of his pilgrimage was to pray for peace and security for his country and the entire South American continent.

While at the shrine of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), the Ambassador remarked: “I came to pray for my country, which is facing threats from America.”

According to the Noon News Agency, Ambassador Aníbal met with the Head of the Holy Shrine Custodianship, Hassan Rashid Al-Abaiji. He emphasized that the visit was an opportunity for both prayer and for strengthening the friendly ties and cooperation between Venezuela and Iraq.

The Head of the Custodianship welcomed the Ambassador’s visit, stressing the importance of respecting holy sites and preserving cultural connections between nations. The Venezuelan Ambassador also met with the Governors of Karbala and Najaf provinces during his trip to discuss bilateral cooperation.
