The 7th Karbala International Children’s Book Fair has successfully launched under the theme, “Read, Play, Learn,” in the holy city of Karbala. Organized by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the area between the two Holy Shrines, the event features extensive participation from over ten Arab and foreign countries, including Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq.

Organizers highlighted that the fair aims to enrich the culture of Arab children and provide access to diverse educational and entertaining content, emphasizing the universal nature of knowledge. The participating publishers presented a variety of materials, such as educational stories, interactive books, and simplified scientific content, focused on fostering critical thinking, imagination, and Arab cultural identity.

The fair is distinguished by its integration of books with art, education, and entertainment, hosting workshops, competitions, live storytelling, and interactive sessions. The significant turnout from families and children underscores a growing educational awareness within the community regarding the importance of reading in building a well-rounded personality.
