Iranian Calligraphers Donate Illuminated Quran to Karbala Shrine
———————————-
A group of Iranian calligraphers has donated a meticulously handwritten and illuminated Quran to the shrine of the Honourable Abal-Fazl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in Karbala, Iraq. The manuscript, the result of over a year of continuous effort, will be preserved in the shrine’s cultural treasury.

According to the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), a delegation of Iranian artists led by calligraphy master Seyed Azizollah Azarang presented the manuscript to the custodians of the holy site. The deputy director of the shrine, Seyed Abbas Mousavi Ahmad, praised the work as a cultural and artistic offering. The manuscript, which measures 60 by 45 centimeters, was created by a six-member team. This donation is presented as a continuation of centuries-old traditions of Islamic calligraphy and manuscript art.
