Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Highlights Importance of Intellectual Awareness and Commemoration of Al-Mohsin’s Martyrdom

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi emphasized the critical role of intellectual awareness and community guidance, which he stated were causes for which the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) sacrificed their lives and possessions.

The Grand Marja noted that Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra’s pure sacrifice, including the loss of her unborn son Al-Mohsin (peace be upon them), was central to this mission. His Eminence pointed out that had Al-Mohsin not been killed, the descendants of the Prophet’s family would be more numerous today.

He stressed that Sayyida Fatimah’s sacrifice serves as a lasting testament to all Islamic leaders and claimants throughout history, including the present era. The Supreme Marja also highlighted that commemorating this tragic event reflects loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt and rejection of those who have wronged them, recalling the attack on Sayyida Fatimah’s home which led to the martyrdom of her unborn child.
