As the martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) approaches, the holy sites of Kadhimiya has been draped in black, with mourning flags raised across the courtyards and streets surrounding the sacred shrine.

According to local reports, the installation of the black banners marks the formal beginning of the mourning ceremonies, as thousands of faithful prepare to commemorate the life and sacrifice of the Messenger of God.
