Karbala Health Authority Launches Digital System to Track Medical Cases During Arbaeen
……………..
The Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has introduced a new electronic system to record and monitor medical cases during this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage. Developed by the Health Disaster Management Center, the system is being used across medical units and field hospitals in the pilgrimage area.
Engineer Karar Gharib, a member of the operations room, explained that the system enables real-time monitoring of all medical stations, covering medical, nursing, and logistical needs, as well as tracking bed occupancy rates. Data collected is analyzed by the central operations room to identify pressure points and provide timely support.
The system also records the number of visitors receiving medical services, with trained staff handling electronic documentation. Information is securely stored and automatically uploaded once internet service resumes if interrupted. Gharib noted that the initiative aims to enhance coordination, streamline operations, and improve healthcare quality for pilgrims.
