The Quran Museum in Mecca’s Heraa Cultural District features a unique mosaic of Surah Al-Fatiha and the opening verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, spanning 76.67 square meters and composed of over one million porcelain pieces.

This intricate artwork is based on a 1656 manuscript by calligrapher Mustafa Dhulfiqar, originally preserved at the King Abdulaziz Waqf Libraries in Madinah. As the first museum in Mecca dedicated solely to the Quran, it serves as a cultural landmark near Mount Heraa.

The museum houses rare Quranic manuscripts from various Islamic eras, antique Qurans in diverse scripts, educational models illustrating the Quran’s evolution, and interactive exhibits showcasing its history.

Notably, the museum holds Guinness World Records for the largest Quran and the largest Quran stand globally, highlighting its commitment to preserving and celebrating the Quran’s heritage.
