Millions of Pilgrims March Toward Karbala to Commemorate Arbaeen of Imam Hussein
…………………..
The massive and continuous flow of pilgrims marches steadily toward the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Pilgrims have begun their journey on foot from the southernmost point of Iraq, starting in the Ras al-Bisha area of Basra province, heading toward the shrine of Imam Hussein to mark this sacred occasion.
The route connecting Basra and Dhi Qar is witnessing a significant surge in the number of participants. In an awe-inspiring spiritual scene reflecting profound devotion to the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him), large crowds continue to grow daily. Reporters from the Imam Hussein Media Group confirmed that pilgrims are filling the roads with chants of loyalty and tearful yearning.
This human tide is matched by a wide-scale mobilization of both security and service sectors. Thousands of Hussainiya service tents (mawakib) line the roads to Karbala, offering food, water, and rest areas, dedicating all resources to serve the pilgrims and seeking the honor of aiding the journeyers to Imam Hussein.
Meanwhile, Karbala and neighboring provinces are on high alert, with coordinated efforts among security forces, health departments, and service agencies to ensure the safety, medical care, and logistical needs of participants in what is considered the largest annual religious gathering in the world.
