Germany to see political earthquake in 2024, journalist predicts

German weekly business news magazine, Wirtschaftswoche, has recently published an article that warns of the danger of a political earthquake in 2024 that can threaten Germany.

It cites state elections in three eastern German states, where the far-right Alternative for Germany party is hoping for a miracle and success. AfD is a right-wing populist political party in Germany known for its Euroscepticism, as well as for opposing immigration to Germany

“Michel Friedman”, a famous German journalist, has recently said: “Next year is the year of the radical Alternative for Germany party.” He looks anxiously to the coming years, fearing that the first ideas about a coalition with a right-wing party will then become socially acceptable at the federal level. He sees next year as part of a possible development in this direction.
