Indonesian Writer says Battle of Karbala will continue to live in consciousness of Muslims, free people
The Indonesian writer and thinker Hendry Subrota has said that the dark and tragic events that took place in the Karbala in the Tuff Battle, represent a memory that will not be forgotten in the history of Islam, and will continue to live in the consciousness of Muslims and free peoples throughout the years.
Subrota mentioned in an article published by the ‘rakyat bengkulu’ newspaper and translated Shia Waves Agency that “the bloody memory of Karbala, which witnessed the killing of the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, Imam Hussein bin Ali, peace be upon them, is the greatest event that humanity has ever known throughout history, and this memory will remain unforgettable in the history of Islam.”
He continued that “the tragic incident showed the true faith and great sacrifice of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, who inherited the greatest qualities from his grandfather, the Messenger of God, peace be upon him and his family, and his father, Amir al-Mu’minin, peace be upon him, and called for reform and confronted the oppressors and the arrogant.”
Subrota pointed out that “this great incident did not only hurt humans, but even the jinn and angels who cried for the martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, and the world witnessed—as a result of this great crime—natural events that confirmed the sadness of the earth and the sky.”
He added that “the sun had an eclipse in mourning for the Master of Martyrs, and the sky turned red for (6 months); for the enormity of what happened on the land of Karbala in the immortal Battle of Al-Tuff.”
