Construction work of Iraq-Saudi Arabia Road reaches advanced stages

Construction work of the Iraq-Saudi Arabia Road project in Najaf Governorate, has reached advanced stages.

The road aims at facilitating the movement of pilgrims during the season of Hajj and Omran, as well as flourishing economy and trade.

A joint specialized team from the Ministry of Planning and the Office of the Prime Minister, visited the Iraq-Saudi Arabia Road project on Friday, which is 239 kilometers long and is part of the government program in Najaf Governorate.

The Ministry explained that the project consists of three phases: the first begins from station 27 kilometers, and ends at station 77 kilometers; the second begins from station 77 kilometers and ends at station 127 kilometers, with a length of 50 kilometers and a width of 8 meters

The third phase begins from al-Mu’zafar Square and ends at station 77 kilometers, where it is connected to the first phase and passes through al-Noor district in Holy Najaf.
