Terrorist attacks in Pakistan: Radical Sunnis martyr two Shiites

Local media report that terrorist elements in Pakistan have once again committed sectarian targeted killing by murdering two Shiites.

These two Shiites were reportedly martyred brutally by Takfiri terrorists in Gulshan Hadid area of Karachi. Zowar Hussain and his friend, Akhtar Hussain, were shot dead by two motorcycle-riding terrorists of the radical Sunni Sipah Sahaba group.

The two seriously injured Shiites were immediately taken to Jinnah Hospital, but the doctors confirmed their death soon afterwards.

The Center for Research and Security Studies based in Islamabad has recently announced that more than 700 soldiers and civilians were killed in the first 9 months of 2023 due to “terrorist” attacks in Pakistan.

The report, which was published on Saturday, September 30, reveals that terrorist attacks in Pakistan this year have increased by 19 percent compared to 2022, and the two states bordering Afghanistan have suffered 92 percent of the total number of casualties.

According to the report, Pakistan’s security forces lost at least 386 personnel, which is 36 percent of all casualties, in the first nine months of 2023, which is the highest figure in the last eight years.

This independent think tank has added in its report that 33 militant fighters under the orders of the Pakistan Army are among the dead.

In the latest terrorist development, two explosions on Friday, September 29, killed around 60 people and injured more than 100 others in Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
