Michigan-based husseiniyas, Islamic centers call for wide participation in Ashura rituals
The presidents and managers of husseiniyas and Islamic centers in the US state of Michigan, have urged the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to actively participate in the Husseini ceremonies to recall the tragic battle of al-Taff.
The officials said in statements followed by Shia Waves Agency that, “The Husseiniyas and and other Shia centers in Michigan have begun establishing mourning ceremonies over the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and will continue until the 13th of Holy Muharram.”
They noted that, “Parents are called upon to bring their children and young family members to strengthen their love, loyalty and commitment for Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and Imam Hussein’s revolution.”
They concluded that, “The mourning activities include latmayas and religious lectures, in addition to fresh meals to be distributed to the mourners,” pointing out that, “A massive march will be launched on the tenth of Muharram to mark the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”
