South Korea exports first shipment of halal meat to Malaysia

South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture has reached an agreement with Malaysia to export Korean beef.

Based on the agreement, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Hanwoo Board, an organization that supports the beef industry, announced that they held an event in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, to celebrate the start of exports.

The event was attended by more than 100 people, including government officials such as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, retail and restaurant representatives, as well as local media.
