Halal products promotion in Indonesia

Restaurants, retailers and other food businesses in Indonesia are struggling to comply with the government’s mandate to require official certification for their halal products by 2024.

Jakarta government officials say they seek to promote economic activities in accordance with Islamic laws.

It should be mentioned that many Southeast Asian countries are competing to gain a bigger share of the halal market, with the largest share belonging to Indonesia.
