United Nations says it will not leave Afghanistan

The United Nations announced in a statement that it will remain in Afghanistan to fulfill its commitments of helping people in need.

Earlier, the United Nations had stated in response to the Taliban’s decision to ban female employees from working in the organization in Afghanistan that it was considering the option of withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Given the restrictions imposed on its female employees, the organization has mentioned that the United Nations will continue dialogue with the Taliban to resolve this challenge, but its humanitarian operations in Afghanistan will continue.
