Hassan Rashid al-Abayichi has called for the preservation of the sanctity of Karbala.
Secretary General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, made this comment during a ceremony held to appreciate the efforts made by organizers of Quranic gatherings during blessed Ramadan.
He further added: I declare from this pulpit that any violation of Holy Karbala’s sanctity must be prevented, because it embraces the holy body of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), his beloved brother Hazrat Abbas (peace be upon him) and other martyrs of Karbala.
We should not witness corruption in the holy city of Karbala, he stressed, adding that, Quranic circles should be held throughout the year.
