Iraq’s National Museum is offering a rare exhibition of ancient Quran manuscripts. The collection includes 80 manuscripts that are being showcased for the first time in Baghdad.
According to Ahmed al-Alyawi, Director General of the museum, “This exhibition is about rare and precious Qurans, dating back to the first century of the Hijra”, noting that, “they represent a cultural and heritage treasure in Iraq”. The exhibition will run through the blessed month of Ramadan.
