Muslim population exceeds 2 billion worldwide, new estimates reveal

According to new estimates published by the Global Muslim Population, the number of Muslims around the world has exceeded two billion.

The group said on its website that, “Estimates have revealed as of Monday, Apr. 3th, that more than two billion people around the world identify themselves as Muslims.”

The group added that, “This number represents more than %25 of the total world population which is estimated at 8 billion.”

The estimates have been revealed coinciding with the blessed month of Ramadan.
