Over 40 thousand people died due to drought in Somalia

According to the most recent World Health Organization study, the drought in Somalia has contributed to the deaths of approximately 43,000 individuals.

The primary reasons of death, according to the research, which was created in partnership with the Somalia Ministry of Health, are starvation and health issues.

According to the World Health Organization, things could get worse in 2023.

The United Nations estimates that 7.6 million people in Somalia who lack access to food need immediate aid totalling $2.6 billion.
