Imam Hussein Holy Shrine re-opens hospital after new wards added
The legal custodian of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai has reopened on Saturday the expansion project of Safeer al-Hussein Hospital which is dedicated to surgical operations and other medical consultations and services.
Al-Karbalai said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that, “(850-1000) surgeries are conducted per month in this hospital for free.”
It is worth noting that a new operating theater, an ICU and 50 other beds have been added to the hospital as part of the Holy Shrine’s campaign to provide services to patients both from Iraq and other countries.
