The Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Hassan Rashid Al-Abaiji, has announced that the trial-run for Karbala International Airport will be launched soon.
Al-Abaiji said that this airport will be one of the largest airports in the region and facilitate the arrival of millions of visitors to the holy city of Karbala.
The head of the National Investment Commission, Haidar Makiya, said: “Large parts of the airport have been completed”, stressing, “the commission is supportive of such important projects.”
